How we think about security.
Zing builds infrastructure that public safety agencies, airports, and critical infrastructure operators rely on. Here's an overview of our approach to protecting the data our products and platform handle.
Foundational security practices.
Encryption in Transit
Data moving between Zing hardware, the Zing Airspace Platform, and your browser is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols.
Access Controls
Access to customer data and internal systems is restricted to personnel who need it to do their jobs, and is reviewed as part of our ongoing security practices.
Responsible Disclosure
We welcome reports from security researchers who identify potential vulnerabilities in our products or infrastructure, and we work to address confirmed issues promptly.
How we handle the data our products collect.
Zing hardware and the Zing Airspace Platform handle sensitive operational data — detection events, Remote ID broadcast data, and account and configuration information. We design our systems to limit data collection to what's needed to provide the service, encrypt data in transit, and restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis.
We continue to invest in our security posture as our products and customer base grow, and we work with our infrastructure and software providers to keep our systems patched and up to date.
Found a security issue? Tell us.
Responsible disclosure
If you believe you've found a security vulnerability in a Zing product, our website, or our infrastructure, please report it to us before disclosing it publicly. Include as much detail as you can — affected product or URL, steps to reproduce, and potential impact — so our team can investigate quickly. We ask that you avoid accessing or modifying data that isn't yours in the course of testing.
